ABOUT THE ROLE
Breakaway Music Festival is seeking an experienced, organized and highly motivated individual to serve as a Manager on the Brand Partnerships & Activation team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced time sensitive environment, embracing a team based work ethic and have a passion for live music events, Brand Partnerships and Experiential Marketing.
This role will be instrumental in executing the on-site fulfillment of assigned brand partner agreements while fostering and nurturing positive relationships with brand partners and agencies. We are looking for someone who approaches our partners with a yes, can do attitude. This person strives for excellence as we execute partnership agreements and work to over-deliver and exceed partner expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day management and execution of all on-site activation deliverables for assigned partners, including but not limited to placement and advancement (power, heavy equipment, fencing, tents, Wifi), ticketing and hospitality.
- Act as direct liaison to assigned partners for on-site activations and all related initiatives and/or special projects related to their on-site presence.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Brand Partnerships team via excellent client services and relationship building.
- Build, organize and manage details for assigned partners’ workback schedules.
- Oversee reporting and update of deliverables within key activation trackers.
- Work closely with various internal departments to ensure seamless communication of activation needs for assigned partners.
- Schedule and attend recurring brand partner meetings while creating, updating and sharing call agendas, notes and action items.
- Creation of brand fulfillment reports that include tracking and reporting of deliverables, metrics and activation content to summarize the partnership in each market.
- Submit and track all invoices for brand activation billbacks at each festival.
- Provide activation ideas and insight on assigned partner renewal strategies.
- Work directly with the Vice President, Brand Partnerships & Activation to ensure you are lock-step when communicating with brand partners and internally across Breakaway.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in Experiential Marketing and/or Sponsorship Activation.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, strong attention to detail required.
- A team player who is highly motivated, communicates well and has a desire to participate in the larger Breakaway team culture.
- A self starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on both written and verbal communication.
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Ability to speak about Breakaway with passion and excitement to current and prospective partners.
- Comfortable with both receiving and providing feedback to peers and management.
- Ability to work non traditional work hours including weekends and potential holidays.
- Ability to travel to approximately 10+ festivals and live events per year with at least 5 days on-site for each festival.
- Excellent use of software programs like Google, Microsoft, Airtable and project management tools such as Asana, Monday, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Experiential Marketing and/or Sponsorship Activation for live events. Preferred background in the music industry, including concerts, tours, or music festivals.
