Breakaway is a fast-growing music and entertainment company in search of a highly motivated and capable College Promotions & Sales Coordinator to support the strategy, development and execution of Breakaway Music Festival marketing promotions.

As the College Promotions & Sales Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing, recruiting, training, guiding, and coordinating a team of enthusiastic and dynamic college ambassadors to promote our organization or brand on college campuses effectively. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative promotional campaigns that effectively communicate our brand message, increase brand awareness, and drive customer engagement.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in creating and implementing impactful marketing, social, and promotion strategies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, and a passion for engaging with students.

The Promotional Coordinator and College Sales Manager will report to the Director National Promotions and will work closely with other members of the marketing team.

Position: Full-time

Location: Nashville, TN

Experience Desired: 1-3 years of experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit college ambassadors from diverse campuses that are passionate about music and the music industry.
  • Screen and select candidates based on their ability to promote successfully and attitude to learn more about Breakaway.
  • Coordinate with college campuses and student organizations to identify potential ambassadors.

Training and Development:

  • Design and conduct comprehensive training programs for ambassadors to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to ambassadors to ensure their success in promoting the Breakaway Brand
  • Foster a sense of community and collaboration among ambassadors through regular meetings and events on campus.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop strategic plans and objectives for the college ambassador program in alignment with the Breakaway Brand.
  • Collaborate with marketing and social teams to create campaigns and initiatives that leverage the strengths of college ambassadors to assist with brands and sponsors.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of ambassador activities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social team to create compelling promotional materials, including advertising campaigns, social media content, promotional merch and banners, and strategic promo events.
  • Monitor and track budgets and spend within markets while adapting new strategies to create better budget models.

Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for college ambassadors, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders, including college administrators, student leaders, and campus organizations.
  • Communicate regularly with ambassadors to disseminate important information, updates, and resources.

Brand Representation:

  • Ensure that ambassadors accurately represent Breakaway’s brand values, messaging, and image at all times.
  • Monitor ambassador activities and content to maintain brand consistency and compliance with guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for brand exposure and engagement on college campuses through ambassador-led initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in live event or promotional experience, preferably within concerts, touring, or music festival industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred; qualifiable degrees include Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in leadership, management, or student engagement roles.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or other creative software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans.
  • Familiarity with college campus environments and student culture.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite and social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, ect).
  • Ability to travel to college campuses as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel.
