ROLE

Our client is seeking a dynamic and versatile VP of Operations to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company. This role will begin on a part-time basis, initially working 2 to 3 days a week with the potential for increased involvement over time. The VP of Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing operational functions, implementing strategic initiatives, and pursuing business development opportunities to drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This person will be a key point of contact for clients and their teams, as well as partner service providers. Aside from regular meetings with the CEO, this role is primarily remote. Occasional travel, and nights and weekends should be expected.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Provide leadership and guidance to operational teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all departments.
  

• Financial Management: Collaborate with the financial team for detailed financial tasks while maintaining basic knowledge of financial accounting and spreadsheet usage.
  

• Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling flights, organizing travel, and managing expenses.
  

• Client Interaction: Represent the company in client-facing meetings, demonstrating professionalism and fostering positive relationships. Maintain ongoing client relationships, growing portfolio operations and networking to new potential clients.
  

• Presentation Development: Independently create persuasive decks and documents to communicate ideas, projects, and marketing campaigns effectively.
  

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop SOPs and protocols for various operational processes, including standard work documents.
  

• Global Medical Equipment Deployment: Evaluate, improve, and support the management of inventory and deployment of medical equipment globally, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  

• Custom Evacuation Projects: Lead the development and expansion of custom evacuation projects, including an air ambulance service from the Bahamas.
  

• Partnership Management: Maintain and expand working relationships with key outsourced services and identify potential partner expansion opportunities to enhance client experience.
  

CANDIDATE

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operational leadership roles, preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
  

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and spreadsheet usage.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  

• Experience working within compliance guidelines, learning and adapting as needed.
  

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build convincing decks and documents.
  

• Experience in developing standard operating procedures and protocols.
  

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  

• Flexibility to adapt to evolving responsibilities and priorities.
  

• Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellence and integrity.
  

• Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and employees, while supporting the CEO as needed.
  

• Natural ability to maintain discretion and willingness to work behind the scenes among high profile clients.

The compensation for this role is $125k-$140k, with performance based bonus opportunities.
