Job Description

Inkwell is seeking an experienced Director of Search Operations to join our team. This full-time role is 100% remote. Work hours are Central or East Coast time. NYC area preferred to be available for occasional in-person meetings.

ROLE

As the Director of Search Operations, you’ll own the end-to-end recruiting process for each of the

Inkwell stakeholders -- candidates, clients, partner referrers, and our internal community of referrers,

The Well. You’ll design, implement and continuously iterate on policies, processes and product offerings

that increase the efficiency of our internal recruiting operations and ultimately drive successful and

lasting placements for our clients. You’ll support our growing partner referral networks to improve the

quality and diversity of our referrals. The Director of Search Operations will build trust and credibility for

Inkwell by successfully connecting excellent humans with exceptional career opportunities, and

providing top-level service delivery for our clients.

In partnership with the C-suite, you’ll serve as the recruiting process subject-matter expert to inform the

transformation of our existing business practices into a scalable product that utilizes AI and ML to

replace traditional recruiting models with a highly intelligent, automated executive match-making digital

Product.

As the Director of Search Operations, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and supporting all

administrative positions that participate in the Inkwell search process, including but not limited to the

Database and Search Operations Administrator, and the Administrative Assistant. You will be responsible

for evaluating, hiring, and managing additional supporting employees to the Recruiting team as needed.

You will support the Head of Growth and the Partnerships Associate by offering your expertise as needed

in service of growing Inkwell’s client and partnership lists. You will absorb and evaluate client and partner

feedback about Inkwell practices, and make necessary recommendations for updates or upgrades.

Responsibilities:

Recruiting

  • Lead the entire Recruiting function for Inkwell, from client onboarding and management, to

candidate flow, and referral engagement

  • Support the Head of Growth in attending new business calls as needed

  • Own all client relationships, from kick-off through placement and ongoing retention

  • Serve as the point-of-contact for all client needs, including scoping roles, drafting job

descriptions, promoting searches, sourcing, screening and presenting candidates

  • Source candidates through the Inkwell database, referral network, traditional and non traditional sourcing channels

  • Proactively and consistently solicit feedback from clients, referrers and candidates and

incorporate their input into future processes, product features and experiences

  • Establish Recruiting KPIs for the business that compliment Product and Growth goals, regularly track and report on these metrics to the CEO and wider company

  • Support the curation and cultivation of The Well by recruiting qualified members from diverse

communities, and support the expansion of the Inkwell referral partnership community as

appropriate

  • Partner with the Head of Product and Software Engineers to support the ongoing development of Inkwell’s tech products

  • Advise clients on best DEI practices for their recruiting processes and needs

  • Help to vet potential clients and partners to ensure they’re DEI philosophies are inline with our values and procedures

Operations

  • Continuously audit and iterate on the recruiting processes and systems that underpin Inkwell’s

operations

  • Work with the Administrative Assistant and Database and Search Operations Associate to review, update and organize all current and historical recruiting documentation

  • Improve the efficiency, consistency and quality of the recruiting operations function, and use

those learnings to inform the design and development of Inkwells technology platforms and digital product offerings

  • Manage a lean remote team consisting of full time and remote contractors

  • Assist with fundraising as needed

Your Experience:

  • Track record of successfully placing Executive level candidates at top companies

  • Foundational knowledge of recruiting tools and related applications, including ATS and search

channels such as LinkedIn

  • Ability to evaluate and iterate on current ideas, ability to absorb feedback and implement process improvements

  • Experience at a high growth company or start-up experience is a plus

  • Exceptional people and communication skills

  • Proactive self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Passion for building new programs and experiences from the ground up

  • Ability to communicate, present and build relationships at all levels

  • Foundational knowledge of database tools, CRM and ESP platforms

  • Management experience a plus

The base compensation for this role is $90k plus bonus.
