Kingdom Supercultures creates and sells functional ingredients that actually work. We call them “Superculture ingredients” — a new class of probiotics and postbiotics that we intentionally design to make a quantitative impact on unmet health needs and to address these needs at their root. We’re actively selling Superculture ingredients for oral and immune health in pets, and are releasing our first Superculture ingredient for humans in 2026. We founded Kingdom in 2019 to cultivate healthier living with natural microbes and have raised $30M in venture funding from top investors.
We’re looking for a high-performing and growth-oriented Operations Manager, Product Development to join our small but mighty team. This individual will lead project management of our Superculture ingredient R&D end to end, working cross-functionally to support ingredient development from inception through full technical validation. You will play a leading role in taking our ingredients from concepts to multi-million dollar, patent-protected assets that deliver real, noticeable health impacts.
This is a full-time, in-person role at our headquarters in Brooklyn, NY, and will involve occasional travel to customers or manufacturing partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be the central person responsible for the project management and execution of our Superculture ingredient development, ensuring that we deliver efficacious solutions for key unmet health needs. In this work, you will collaborate closely with our scientists, key commercial team members, and external partners to develop our ingredients and improve our technical organization and processes. Your activities will include:
Own and continuously improve our ingredient development tracking and organization structures, including planning documents and tools, meeting structures and cadence, and communication across workstreams
Set, maintain, and communicate timelines for end-to-end R&D in collaboration with technical and commercial workstream owners, working back from critical technical milestones, customer deadlines, economic targets, and company-wide Objectives and Key Results
Lead cross-functional team project meetings, setting the agenda and ensuring team members come prepared to discuss key topics, and ensuring follow through after the meeting, including clear next steps and owners
Coordinate complex technical workstreams (e.g., new technical capabilities and validation activities such as clinical trials, etc.), including structuring team discussions to align on owners, key sub-workstreams, and timelines
Coordinate and manage ingredient validation with internal and external stakeholders, including CROs and independent advisors
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
2-4+ years of experience in an operating, project management, or other business role, preferably in a scientific/R&D environment
Supremely well-organized, with a track record of effectively managing multiple complex projects against deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to engage with both technical and commercial team members to drive business outcomes
Clear, concise written and verbal communication
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to structure complex, ambiguous challenges and manage them from start to finish
Comfort navigating deeply technical subject matter, including experience utilizing technical information when making strategic and operational decisions
Degree or experience in STEM field (preference for biology or engineering)
Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications? We encourage anyone who thinks they could excel here to apply, no matter their background, how they identify, or their professional background. Applicants will never be disqualified nor discriminated against by race, class, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, veteran status, disability status, or criminal history.
