GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing consistent, memorable, creative content across multiple projects and platforms for the CKBG brands.

We’re looking for passionate storytellers who are motivated by the opportunity to play an active role in growing brands from the ground up. We value curiosity, creative thinking, and inclusive leadership.

We are looking for a graphic designer with the potential to be creative, but the current role is more focused on execution than ideation.

Please note, this position is contract to hire for a trial period of 3 months.

ABOUT CKBG

CKBG (Casa Komos Brands Group) was founded in the Spring of 2019 to create one-of-a-kind hospitality brands.

Our portfolio currently includes Tequila Komos, a category redefining line of ultra-luxury Tequilas; and Superbird, a flock of 100% Blue Agave Tequila-based ready-to-drink cocktails, and most recently, Dola Dira, a rhubarb-infused aperitivo made with all natural ingredients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality visual design solutions and messaging that resonates with consumers and the trade to drive brand awareness and business growth
  • Work closely with the creative and marketing team members to ensure that deliverables are grounded in brand guidelines, consumer insights and business goals.
  • Support in the creative process from concept to execution for all creative and visual elements (packaging design, visual merchandising, campaign creative, digital ads, social media, etc.)
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met. Ensure creative quality control across all platforms.
  • Help build out and evolve the design infrastructure of the CKBG brands portfolio.
  • Maintain a flexible mindset by responding to and adapting to evolving business needs and trade feedback.
  • Manage all design vendors to ensure quality control and on-time execution.
  • Ensure consistency across all projects and platforms, following brand guidelines and creating a cohesive experience across all touchpoints as they continuously evolve.
  • Work collaboratively with internal creative, sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer target’s mindsets, attitudes, & behaviors to inform strong empathetic and strategic executions.
  • Independently project manage all assigned tasks

This position reports directly into the Head of Brand & Creative and is based in our NYC office.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in-house
  • Excellent retouching skills capable of quickly transforming raw images into consumer-facing quality products
  • Knowledge and interest in contemporary aesthetic and design trends such as streetwear movement, classical luxury, etc.
  • Knowledge of the most recent AI integration within Photoshop and Adobe software (as well as basic knowledge of free-standing generative AI online tools such as Midjourney, Dall-E, Stable Diffusion, Microsoft Designer, Astria, etc.)
  • Expertise in graphic design software such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and other standard design software
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: print, packaging, production, visual/store merchandising, photo art direction
  • Proven design abilities with emphasis on typography, composition, and color
  • Excellent retouching skills capable of quickly transforming raw images into consumer-facing quality products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, independent, entrepreneurial
  • Detail-oriented with great time management and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Luxury industry and/or CPG experience a plus
  • Experience with the Webflow platform is a big plus
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management software

Advanced knowledge of video editing and animation software such as AfterEffects or Premiere

Benefits & Compensation

Please note, this position is contract to hire for a trial period of 3 months.

The anticipated salary range for this role, once brought on as an employee, is $80,000 – $100,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements. In general, actual salaries will fall somewhere in the middle of the range.

This role is based in-office 3 days a week, 4 days is encouraged.
