About Elektra Health

Elektra Health is on a mission to smash the menopause taboo. We're empowering the 50M women currently navigating menopause with evidence-based education, care & community with a first-of-its-kind 21st century digital platform.

80% of women report that menopause significantly disrupts their life – symptoms include anxiety, depression, loss of libido / painful sex, brain fog, joint pain & more. Over 70% of those who seek help don’t receive appropriate care, and 31% of women aged 40-89 report that they don’t receive information about menopause from any source. Elektra was founded to address this massively underserved population.

Elektra Health is led by experienced women’s healthcare founders and top OB/GYNs, and is backed by leading venture capital firms, angel investors and industry advisors from SoulCycle, Conde Nast, One Medical, and beyond. We've been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Pitchbook, the Financial Times and Crunchbase, and by both Katie Couric and Maria Shriver.

The Role

Elektra is seeking a highly-motivated and experienced healthcare professional to serve as an Elektra Guide to provide support and guidance through our membership platform. We’re looking for a passionate, thoughtful, and detail-oriented team member to roll up their sleeves and contribute to our mission. If you’re excited about empowering women and helping them optimize their health and wellness, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Part menopause doula + accountability partner + cheerleader, an Elektra Guide provides support and resources to members as they work on managing symptoms and achieving their health and wellness goals.

Together with Elektra's founding team, you'll capture the “lightning in a bottle" momentum to achieve our mission to smash the menopause taboo, creating a women's health movement in the process.

As an Elektra Guide, you will:

  • Connect with Elektra’s members via Zoom and asynchronous chat, on a regular, weekly basis, using Elektra’s Guide norms, structure, and communications framework
  • Motivate, empathize, and strategize with members to help them achieve their specific goals and generally gain knowledge, confidence, and self-efficacy as they navigate this transition
  • Responsibilities outside of being ultra-responsive to members’ needs may include:
  • Serving as a source of evidence-based information on menopause and general health and wellness for both guided and non-guided members;
  • Document interactions and monitor and track member progress;
  • Facilitate virtual group discussions and events
  • Interact with members by engaging in online discussions and forums; facilitate connections across members, answer questions, and moderate conversions to ensure that all discussions are rooted in evidence-based and positive interactions; respond to others’ posts and/or comments; and welcome new members

Success in this role means demonstrating impact across several dimensions, including member coordination and management, and more. This includes externally ensuring that our members have a world-class experience, while also working cross-functionally with our product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure we continue to put the “voice of the members” at the center of everything we do and build at Elektra.

What We’re Looking For

We encourage you to apply if you're an empathic, mission-driven healthcare professional who aligns with Elektra’s values. You should have significant patient or client-facing experience in a health & wellness environment.

Ideally, you have experience in women's health, can work effectively with a suite of online tools and systems, are comfortable with a dynamic, early-stage startup environment, able to work independently and collaboratively within a remote environment, are a strong team player, and are detail-oriented.

You’ll receive training in menopause and Elektra’s menopause care protocols by our seasoned Guides and clinicians.

Required Education and Work Experience

  • Registered nurse, nurse practitioner
  • You’re able to work East Coast hours
  • 10+ years of professional work experience
  • Clinical experience in women’s health (gyn) or oncology navigation / survivorship
  • Comfort with technology, especially Google Workplace and Google Sheets, and ability to learn new digital tools quickly

Bonus points if you have:

  • Personal experience with perimenopause or menopause
  • Coaching training or experience
  • Experience working in a startup environment

Employment status and compensation

Seeking 1099 contractor role; hourly compensation according to experience. This position may evolve given performance over time into a full-time role with benefits and equity compensation.

The role is part-time with potential for future full-time (can be discussed in the interview process), and Elektra is a remote-first team. There may be opportunities for in-person meetings depending on your location.
